Peace

I kind of made a vacation for myself this past week.  I opted out of going to class and went to Baton Rouge instead.  I had a wonderful time.  My parents came down for a couple of days, so I'm really glad I got to see them.  One of the days we were there, we visited the Houmas House, which is an old plantation home just outside of Baton Rouge. Gorgeous is an understatement.  There was the most intricate garden I have ever seen in my whole life, with thousands and thousands of varieties of flowers and plants. It was breathtaking.  We also ate lunch at the restaurant there, and it was some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life. I highly recommend vising there if you are ever in the area.

I've had a lot of time to do some pretty significant soul-searching the past few months.  I am always amazed at the peace that God brings me at just the right times.  There have been several events and conversations that have occurred over the past few weeks that have reassured me that I am exactly where I need to be. Even though this may have been the roughest year I've ever had so far, I have learned so much about life, about God, and about myself.  I have been so blessed to be granted such peace with where I am, and I can't wait to see where God takes me from here.
